Summary

This early-stage lab study uses cells from 8 people with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps to see how the drug mepolizumab affects inflammation and the health of the cells lining the nasal passages. Researchers want to understand if mepolizumab can reduce inflammation and help maintain the barrier function of these cells. The study is done in a lab, not on patients directly.
