Summary
This study is measuring a substance called IL-6 and other inflammation markers in the blood of 42 adults who are in the intensive care unit after surgery. The goal is to see if these levels can help predict which patients are at higher risk of dying or having serious complications. Researchers will track patients for 28 days to see how their inflammation levels relate to their recovery.
