NCT ID NCT07216014
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study is testing an interleukin-23 monoclonal antibody, a drug that blocks a key inflammatory protein, in 200 adults with moderate to severe Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. Participants receive the drug and are followed for 54 weeks to see if they can achieve remission without needing steroids. The goal is to better understand the drug's effectiveness and safety in real-world settings.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Interleukin-23 monoclonal antibody (a drug that blocks a protein involved in inflammation)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a new treatment option to help people with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis achieve remission without needing steroids.
What could go wrong
This is a Phase 4 study, so the drug is already approved, but it may not work for everyone and could cause side effects like infections or allergic reactions. Results are still being collected.
