New kidney disease drug begins early safety testing

Summary

This early-stage study aims to find out if a new drug called IGT-303 is safe for people. It will test single and multiple doses given as shots under the skin or into a vein. Researchers will compare the drug to a placebo in about 94 healthy volunteers and people with chronic kidney disease to check for side effects.
