Head-to-Head trial tests new drug duos to tame mysterious autoimmune disease
NCT ID NCT05789030
Summary
This study aims to find the better treatment strategy to control IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD), a rare autoimmune condition, and prevent it from flaring up. It will compare two different combinations of a steroid pill (prednisone) with another immune-modifying drug over 12 months in 60 patients whose disease affects 'superficial' organs like glands. The main goal is to see which combination keeps the disease in remission longer and with fewer side effects.
