Scientists probe weighty question: are obese patients getting too much immune medication?
NCT ID NCT04818177
Summary
This study aimed to understand how obesity changes the way the body processes immunoglobulin G (IgG), a medication used to treat immune deficiencies. Researchers measured IgG levels in 40 adults who were already receiving this treatment to determine if current dosing methods based on total body weight lead to side effects from too much medication. The goal was to gather evidence to help doctors calculate safer and more effective doses for patients with obesity.
