Schools try new approach instead of punishment for student drug use

NCT ID NCT06115746

Summary

This study is testing a new education program called iDECIDE for middle and high school students who recently broke their school's substance use rules. About 300 students will be randomly assigned to either take the 4-week iDECIDE classes right away or be placed on a waitlist. The goal is to see if the program helps students learn about drugs, change their attitudes, and reduce their substance use compared to just being monitored.
