Silent suffering: study probes hidden pain in ICU breathing tube patients
NCT ID NCT07182851
Summary
This study aims to find out how common and how severe pain is for patients in intensive care who are on breathing machines (ventilators). Researchers will observe 370 patients to measure their pain levels and see if pain is linked to problems like longer time on the ventilator or higher risk of death. The goal is to gather better information to help improve care for these critically ill patients.
