Doctors test slower breathing machine pace in ICU
NCT ID NCT07077174
Summary
This study is a small, first-step trial to see if a specific, slower breathing machine setting is safe and practical to use in intensive care units (ICUs). It will involve 84 adult patients who are on a breathing machine for severe lung problems. The goal is to gather information to design a larger future study that could test if this gentler approach helps patients recover better.
