AI scans 55,940 ICU records to predict deadly complications
NCT ID NCT07317817
Summary
This study analyzed medical records from 55,940 critically ill patients to understand who is most at risk for developing three serious complications: sepsis, severe lung injury, and sudden kidney failure. Researchers used computer models to find patterns in patient data that might help doctors identify high-risk patients earlier. No new treatments were tested, and all patient information was kept anonymous.
