Doctors use ultrasound to predict which ICU patients will struggle with tube feeding
NCT ID NCT07001943
Summary
This study aims to understand why some critically ill patients in the ICU have trouble tolerating liquid food given through a tube. Researchers will use a bedside ultrasound machine to measure blood flow in the gut before and after feeding. They hope to find patterns that can predict feeding problems and help doctors create safer, personalized nutrition plans.
