Do risky CT scans help ICU patients breathe easier? study investigates
NCT ID NCT07256860
Summary
This study looks back at the medical records of 50 ICU patients with severe breathing failure. Researchers want to see if a chest CT scan, which is risky and complex for very sick patients, finds important information that a simpler chest X-ray misses. The goal is to understand if the extra detail from a CT scan actually leads to changes in a patient's treatment plan.
