Summary
This study aims to find the best way to get hospitals to consistently use proven breathing support methods after a patient's breathing tube is removed in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). It will test different combinations of staff training and treatment protocols across many ICUs. The goal is to prevent patients from needing the breathing tube put back in, reduce deaths, and shorten hospital stays.
