New hope for chronic hive sufferers: drug trial targets stubborn itch and welts

Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called ICP-332 in people with moderate to severe chronic spontaneous urticaria (long-term hives) that don't get better with standard antihistamines. About 344 adults will receive either the drug or a placebo to see if it reduces itching and welts over 4 to 12 weeks. The goal is to find a new treatment option for those whose hives are hard to control.
