Scientists probe gut nerves in search for IBS answers

Summary
This study aims to understand how nerves in the gut behave differently in people with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) compared to healthy people. Researchers will take small tissue samples from the rectum of both IBS patients and healthy volunteers. They will then study the nerve activity in these samples in a lab to learn more about what might cause IBS symptoms.
