Scientists probe Gut's methane link to IBS misery
NCT ID NCT06801184
Summary
This study aims to understand the link between specific gut bacteria, methane production, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) with constipation. Researchers will observe 40 adults with this condition, analyzing their stool and blood samples before and after their usual treatment. The goal is to gather knowledge that could lead to better future treatments, not to test a new therapy directly.
