Scientists search for IBD's hidden triggers in gut tissue

NCT ID NCT01171872

Summary

This research study aims to better understand what causes Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis by collecting tissue samples from patients. Researchers will analyze genes, proteins, and gut bacteria to learn how these diseases develop and flare up. The goal is to discover new targets for future treatments, not to test a treatment directly.
