Scientists hunt for better IBD blood test
NCT ID NCT03833310
Summary
This study aimed to find better blood tests to diagnose inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), like Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Researchers measured four specific proteins in the blood of 70 newly diagnosed, untreated patients. The goal was to see if these proteins could serve as accurate, non-invasive markers to help doctors identify IBD more easily.
