Summary
This study aims to see if tracking body composition changes can help predict how well new medications work for people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Researchers will follow 48 adults with moderate-to-severe Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis who are starting specific biologic or JAK inhibitor medications. They will use a quick, non-invasive body scan at the start of treatment and again at 6 and 12 months, while also monitoring standard disease activity measures.
