Summary

This study tests a digital program called I-CARE for teens aged 12-17 who are waiting in the emergency room after a suicide attempt or mental health crisis. The program teaches coping skills through a tablet or phone, guided by a non-clinical helper. Researchers want to see if it reduces suicidal thoughts and emotional distress compared to standard care alone.
