NCT ID NCT03045965
First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looks at whether removing the fallopian tubes at the same time as a hysterectomy (for non-cancer reasons) can lower the chance of getting ovarian cancer later. About 4,400 women under 55 will take part, and researchers will check for complications, effects on menopause, and long-term cancer rates. The goal is to see if this extra step is safe and effective for preventing ovarian cancer.
