First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether a special PET scan can measure low oxygen levels (hypoxia) in prostate cancer tumors. 18 adults with intermediate to high-risk prostate cancer received a tracer called FAZA before their standard treatment. The goal was to see if this imaging method is feasible and could help doctors understand how tumors respond to therapies like radiation.
