NCT ID NCT07182448

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026

Summary

This completed study looked at how low oxygen levels and a metabolic pathway called the kynurenine pathway are involved in gum inflammation (periodontitis). Researchers collected blood and saliva from 45 healthy adults with either periodontitis or healthy gums. They measured markers of inflammation, oxygen response, and oxidative stress to better understand the disease process.
