First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at how often dangerously low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) occurs in elderly diabetic patients living in nursing homes. Researchers monitored 29 residents using continuous glucose monitors and compared that to standard finger-prick tests. The goal was to find hidden low blood sugar events and learn what factors contribute to them, so doctors can better protect this fragile group.
