New hope for brain cancer: fewer radiation sessions may be just as effective

NCT ID NCT07492836

First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to give radiation therapy to people under 70 with a fast-growing brain tumor called glioblastoma. Instead of many small doses of radiation, patients will receive fewer but stronger doses along with the chemotherapy drug temozolomide. The goal is to see if this shorter treatment plan is safe, practical, and works as well as the standard approach.
