New shorter radiation aims to help older sarcoma patients heal better after surgery

Summary
This study tests a shorter course of radiation given before surgery for soft tissue sarcoma in patients aged 70 and older, or those 65 and older who are considered fragile. The goal is to see if this approach reduces major wound healing problems after surgery. About 48 participants will receive the radiation and be followed for up to 3 years.
