VR hypnosis tested to calm nerves before hand surgery

Summary
This study tests whether using a virtual reality headset for medical hypnosis can lower anxiety in adults before carpal tunnel surgery. About 60 participants having their first carpal tunnel procedure will be enrolled. The approach combines relaxation techniques with immersive VR to help patients feel calmer before going into the operating room.
