Hypnosis shows promise for brain injury memory loss

NCT ID NCT05287542

First seen Jun 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 20, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether hypnotic suggestion can improve working memory in people who had a brain injury at least a year ago. 90 adults received either four weekly sessions of hypnosis or mindfulness. Researchers measured changes in memory tests and daily-life memory problems. The goal is to find a simple, non-drug way to unlock hidden mental abilities after injury.
