Summary

This study tested whether formal hypnosis, a non-drug relaxation technique, can reduce anxiety and pain in cancer patients undergoing brachytherapy (a type of internal radiation). 68 adults were randomly assigned to receive either standard care or standard care plus hypnosis during the procedure. The goal was to see if hypnosis improves patient comfort by lowering anxiety and pain scores.
