Local health workers tackle silent killer in HIV patients
NCT ID NCT06503991
Summary
This study tested a new community health worker program designed to help people living with HIV better manage their high blood pressure in Tanzania. The program involved training local health workers to provide counseling, monitor blood pressure, and help patients get medication during their regular HIV clinic visits. Researchers worked with 100 participants to see if this integrated approach was practical and could improve blood pressure control over six months.
