Can your Child's flexible joints and foot type predict scoliosis severity?

NCT ID NCT07249541

First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at 40 teenagers with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis to see if joint hypermobility (being extra flexible) and foot posture (like flat feet or high arches) are linked to how severe their spine curve is. Researchers will measure flexibility with the Beighton test and foot shape with the Foot Posture Index. The goal is to better understand these connections, which may help doctors design better treatments in the future.
