First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests if hyperbaric oxygen therapy (breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber) can reduce nerve pain and numbness caused by the chemotherapy drug nab-paclitaxel in breast cancer patients. About 160 women who have completed chemo and developed peripheral neuropathy will be randomly assigned to receive either hyperbaric oxygen or a placebo. The goal is to see if this treatment improves symptoms and quality of life.
