New gel injection could ease knee arthritis pain without surgery

Summary

This study compares a new gel-like substance (Arthrosamid®) injected into the knee joint against the standard steroid injection for treating knee osteoarthritis. The goal is to see which one better reduces pain, stiffness, and improves daily function. About 200 adults with moderate to severe knee arthritis will take part. The gel is designed to stay in the joint longer, potentially offering longer-lasting relief.
