Summary
This study tests whether giving two steroids (hydrocortisone and fludrocortisone) to high-risk patients before heart surgery can lower the chance of serious complications like kidney injury and lung problems. The trial will include 196 adults with a EuroSCORE II above 4% who are scheduled for specific heart procedures. Researchers aim to see if this drug combination helps control the body's inflammatory response and reduces the need for blood pressure support after surgery.
