Heart rhythm battle: new hybrid procedure takes on standard treatment
NCT ID NCT05411614
Summary
This study is testing whether a newer, two-part 'hybrid' heart procedure works better than the standard catheter procedure for people who have both a long-lasting irregular heartbeat (persistent atrial fibrillation) and heart failure. About 120 participants will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two procedures. The main goal is to see which treatment is more effective at keeping the heart's normal rhythm stable for up to two years without needing strong heart rhythm medications.
