Special breast milk cream tested to help tiny babies go home sooner

NCT ID NCT02475434

Summary

This study tested whether adding a calorie-boosting cream made from human milk to the diet of very premature babies could help them leave the hospital earlier. Researchers compared 210 tiny babies who received the cream supplement to those who did not. They also checked if the cream helped reduce serious lung problems and tracked the babies' growth and development up to two years after going home.
