Summary

This study looks back at medical records of 100 adults diagnosed with human babesiosis in France between 2000 and 2024. Babesiosis is a rare tick-borne infection that can be severe in people with weak immune systems, no spleen, or older age. The goal is to describe how the disease shows up, how it's treated, and what factors affect recovery. No new treatments or interventions are being tested.
