Shorter radiation may be just as effective for prostate cancer recurrence

NCT ID NCT07500701

First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study is for men whose prostate cancer has come back after surgery, shown by rising PSA levels. It compares a standard 4-week radiation course to a shorter, more intense 1-week course. The goal is to see if the shorter treatment works just as well to control the cancer while being more convenient and less costly. About 270 participants will be followed for 5 years to check cancer control and side effects.
