Summary

This study tested a new long-acting painkiller called HTX 011 in 412 adults having bunion surgery. The drug was given as a single shot into the surgical site. The goal was to see if it reduces pain and the need for opioid pain pills for three days after surgery, compared to a placebo and a standard painkiller.
