Hormones or therapy? new study tests best fix for menopause insomnia
NCT ID NCT06497894
Summary
This study is testing whether hormone replacement therapy (HRT) or cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) works better to reduce insomnia in women going through perimenopause. Researchers will compare these two treatments against basic sleep hygiene advice in 54 participants. Women will track their sleep and wear a headband to monitor brain waves during sleep to see which approach is most effective.
