NCT ID NCT07470983
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new drug called HRS-1780 in 60 adults with primary aldosteronism, a condition where the adrenal glands make too much of a hormone that raises blood pressure. Participants will receive either HRS-1780 or a placebo to see if the drug safely lowers blood pressure and controls hormone levels. The trial is double-blind, meaning neither patients nor doctors know who gets the real drug.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
HRS-1780 (a drug taken as a tablet)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a new treatment option to control blood pressure and hormone levels in people with primary aldosteronism.
What could go wrong
This is an early Phase 2 trial with only 60 people, so results may not apply broadly. The drug may not work better than placebo or could have side effects.
