Scientists hunt for hidden weakness in lung cancer

NCT ID NCT07303218

Summary

This study aims to understand how common a specific DNA repair problem is in people with a certain type of advanced lung cancer (EGFR-mutated NSCLC). Researchers will look at tissue samples from 100 patients to see if having this problem is linked to how patients fare and if it might make the cancer more sensitive to a specific class of drugs called PARP inhibitors. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help guide future, more personalized treatment strategies.
