New vaccine trial aims to clear Cancer-Causing HPV

NCT ID NCT06210854

Summary

This study is testing whether a new DNA vaccine called pBI-11 can help the body's immune system clear persistent HPV16 or HPV18 infections in women. These specific HPV types are known to cause most cervical cancers. The trial will enroll 48 women who will receive either the vaccine or a placebo injection, with researchers measuring whether the vaccine helps eliminate the virus from the cervix.
