Can a cancer vaccine shield transplant patients from HPV?

NCT ID NCT03023631

Summary

This study is testing how well the Gardasil 9 vaccine works to prevent HPV infection in cancer patients who have received a donor stem cell transplant. Researchers are giving the vaccine to 48 adult patients 6-12 months after their transplant to see if their immune systems can build strong, lasting protection against HPV. The main goal is to measure the antibody response and check the vaccine's safety in this vulnerable group.
