Can a simple education program boost HPV vaccination rates in rural ohio?

NCT ID NCT01901770

Summary

This study tested whether sending educational materials to parents and healthcare providers could increase the number of girls getting the HPV vaccine in 12 Appalachian counties in Ohio. Researchers compared two groups: one received information about the HPV vaccine, and the other received information about the flu vaccine. The goal was to see if better information and communication tools could help prevent future HPV infections and related cancers.
