First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study is testing whether women can collect their own samples to test for HPV, the virus that causes cervical cancer. About 8,000 women aged 30-69 in Indonesia will try the self-collection method at home or in a clinic. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and effective for large-scale screening, especially in areas where access to traditional Pap tests is limited.
