Blood test research aims to spot cervical cancer spread earlier
NCT ID NCT02554565
Summary
This study aimed to see if tracking tiny pieces of cancer-related DNA from the HPV virus in the blood could help monitor cervical cancer and detect its spread sooner. Researchers enrolled 26 patients with cervical cancer to test new lab methods for finding this DNA. The goal was to gather knowledge to potentially develop better future tests, not to provide direct treatment to participants.
