10-Year Check-In: could HPV fingerprints predict anal cancer?
NCT ID NCT06522256
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study follows up with 100 men who took part in the ANRS IPERGAY HIV prevention trial to see how many have developed high-grade anal lesions or anal cancer a decade later. Researchers will use a special test to look for HPV mutations and viral DNA integration in the body. The goal is to better understand which HPV infections are most likely to lead to cancer, not to test a new treatment.
