First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tested whether a tool called the Hypotension Prediction Index (HPI) can help prevent dangerously low blood pressure in the recovery room after surgery. Researchers compared standard monitoring to HPI-guided care in 210 adults having elective surgery. The goal was to see if the HPI could reduce the number of low blood pressure episodes and improve patient recovery.
