First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tested whether a special monitor called the Hypotension Prediction Index (HPI) can help prevent low blood pressure in the recovery room after surgery. 210 adults having planned surgery took part. The HPI monitor predicts drops in blood pressure, and doctors used it to guide care. The goal was to see if this approach reduces how often low blood pressure happens after surgery.
